This scholarship provides a stepping stone on my path to becoming an accomplished young lady who will work for her goals in college and in life. Joya’s involvement with her high school and community is extensive. She has worked with the Recreational Center for the Handicap in San Francisco, worked in the dining room at St. Anthony’s, and taught a dance class for girls ages 7 to 13. She is an accomplished dancer, having competed in and won several dance competitions. Joya’s goal is to become a doctor, specifically, a Pediatric Cardiologist.
